Apple fans999 Archivessome good news to start out the week. The company is expected to announce a host of new products shortly, further fleshing out the iPad, iPhone, and even the Apple Watch ecosystems.
Word of the imminent unveiling comes to us via MacRumors, which cites an unnamed supply-chain analyst as the source of its claim. While the specifics of what will or will not be revealed are unclear, speculation has of course run wild.
New iPads Pros? You know it. A variation on an existing phone? No doubt. Updated Apple Watch bands? Heck yes. A red iPhone? Why not.
SEE ALSO: If Steve Jobs was still alive he'd totally be wearing this 3-decade-old watchThis is not the first mention of a mysterious, as-of-yet unannounced March event for Apple. Mac Otakara thinks that the Cupertino dynamos are gearing up to release some fancy new iPad Pros, including a bezel-less 10.5 inch model. An updated 9.7-inch and a 12.9-inch version might also be in the works.
As for the iPhone, the under-appreciated SE may be getting an upgrade with 128GB storage (it's currently only available with either 16GB or 64GB), giving hope to people everywhere who like using an iPhone with just one hand.
But the large iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are not to be left out. They currently come in five colors—Jet Black, Black, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold. But! Customers may soon have a sixth option to choose from: Red. Which, considering the whole "Apple" thing, seems like a long time coming.
It's important to remember that all of this is just guesswork at this point: No March media events have been announced yet by Apple. That could change any day, of course, and these moves would make sense for the company.
But if we're hanging out in the land of "what if," we might as well take it a little further. Personally, I'd love to see a green color option for future iPhones (hey, some of us prefer Granny Smiths). And as far as watch bands are concerned, would it kill Apple to throw some vegan leather straps out there?
Or, if we're really lucky, Tim Cook might just hit us with a brand new Apple Pencil. Revolutionary.
