This week, Android Police spotted that Google Maps added new report-types — flooded road, low visibility, and unplowed road — aimed at helping drivers navigate or avoid dangerous weather problems. Google Maps has rolled out a number of new features and tools recently. It added the community reports from Waze — which Google owns — starting late last year, for instance. Around that same time it also added the ability to search saved locations. Earlier this month it added a bunch of different ways to customize your vehicle's icon.
Adding the weather-related reports could prove quite helpful for drivers looking to steer clear of dangerous conditions. So safe driving out there, and be on the look-out for reports.
