Gen Z's fascination with early 2000s tech has been well-documented, like their whimsical repurposing of iPod shuffles as hair clips. And these babies aren't cheap. Blue first-generation iPod minis were going for $199 apiece before they sold out (the model cost $249 when it dropped in 2004).
9to5Mac reports that models up for sale included the iPod Color (4th generation), iPod (4th generation), and iPod Classic (5th generation). And each iPod comes with "an original deadstock Apple sync cable and headphones."
First reported by The Philadelphia Inquireryesterday, the launch seems purposely scheduled to coincide with the 22nd anniversary of the introduction of the first iPod on October 23, 2001.
At the time of publication, searching for "iPod" on the site does not yield any results, which likely means the devices have sold out. That or some millennial employee took them off the site in protest.
