The add-on is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 27, for $14.99. But there's something else coming to Diablothat day: patch version 2.6.0, and all the new stuff it brings.
The $15 pack just gets you the Necromancer class and a handful of cosmetic bonuses. Everything else is part of update v2.6.0 -- and there's quite a bit.
There's a new game mode in Challenge Rifts. These turn one of Diablo III's randomly generated Greater Rifts into a sort of relay race. Completed GRift runs -- both the map(s) and the gear/skill build used -- are captured as a snapshot and then offered up to other players as a timed challenge. If you manage to beat the time, you get some bonus crafting materials.
The patch also adds a handful of new areas to explore. The Shrouded Moors and Temple of the Firstborn are completely new locations, with their own look and bestiary of enemies. Also coming are the Realms of Fate, a set of areas that you can reach from Heaven in Act IV; each one mashes different bits of Diablo III's world together.
To enjoy the benefits of the new patch, which is free, you simply need the Reaper of Soulsexpansion. If you don't know what that is but you bought Diablo IIIwithin the past few years, there's a good chance you have it already.
All of these goodies arrive on June 27. Learn more about the Necromancer right here.
