Many of the questions surrounding that Oscars "Best Picture" blunder have Dear Utol (2025): Fake Orgasm Episode 44been answered, except this one: Why was Ryan Gosling giggling to himself during the fracas?
While those watching were aghast, and the cast and crew of La La Landlooked shocked, there was Gosling -- ever-so-slightly amused by the moment. Well, we finally have some answers from the man himself.

"What really was happening as I was watching, it was surreal anyway, I was watching people start to have this panicked reaction in the crowd and guys were coming on with headsets and I felt like someone had been hurt," Gosling said, according to People.
"I thought there was some kind of medical situation, and I had this worst case scenario playing out in my head."
"I thought there was some kind of medical situation, and I had this worst case scenario playing out in my head. And then I just heard, 'Oh Moonlightwon,' and I was so relieved that I started laughing." We've all been there.
"But truthfully, I was also so thrilled that Moonlightwon, I know the director ... I've worked with them before. It's such a groundbreaking film, made for a million dollars, and incredible achievement and I'm so happy for them that they were being recognized," he added.
During the chat with Adobe's CMO Ann Lewnes, Gosling also shared his thoughts about being a meme. Specifically about how he won't eat his cereal, if you remember that series of classic Vines (RIP).
"I think what is happening with the cereal one, which is interesting, is that [it] made me aware of the potential power of them," Gosling explained.
"There was a kid named Ryan McHenry, who I think was Scottish, and was high and watching the film Drivewith cereal and thought it was really funny to try and make it look like I wouldn’t eat my cereal."
The meme got so popular that Gosling couldn't leave his house in LA without people shouting at him, asking why he won't eat his cereal.
"It even got to the point where when I would film a scene, sometimes I would see the spoon coming out and I would think, 'This guy's going to cereal the piece,'" he added.
McHenry, who created the Vines, died at the age of 27 in 2015. So in his honour, Gosling filmed himself eating cereal -- a food he actually loves, by the way.
"It was strange because I didn’t know this person and I never met him, yet he was a part of my life, and I was for him in a small way," Gosling said.
"The only thing I could think to do was to eat my cereal. So I just filmed a little Vine of me doing that ... and it felt full circle and closed."
