Welcome to 2017,Mika Muroi Archives where white supremacists are being called out on Twitter by veterans for wearing disrespectful hats.
Don't you miss the election now?
After photos of the Charlottesville rally went viral this weekend, members of the 82nd Airborne Division discovered that one of the white supremacists at the rally was wearing their division's hat. The veterans rightly pointed out that supremacists probably shouldn't wear their hats, since, you know, the entire point of their division was to destroy Nazis like him.

Would *LOVE* to know the name of Mr. 82nd Airborne Division here rendering Hitler's Nazi salute. The 82nd jumped into Normandy on D-Day. pic.twitter.com/oObJNgXzEI

"Anyone can purchase that hat,” the 82nd Airborne wrote on Twitter. “Valor is earned.”
The 82nd Airborne, an elite division, was critical to America's victory at Normandy. Their hats can easily be purchased online and on Amazon.
Our WWII Airborne forefathers jumped into Europe to defeat Nazism. We know who we are. We know our legacy.

U really think that guy is an active member of the 82nd just because he has that hat? My mom has that same hat. She's 78 & has never served

Andy - Respectfully, anyone who thinks this man represents our culture and values has never worn the maroon beret...and never will

It appears that the man photographed, who has yet to be identified, was not a member of their division and was in fact, making a KKK salute. For all of his tough guy military fatigues, the man hasn't exactly given his life to defeat fascism -- which many members of the 82nd division did.
The group made sure to highlight the raging hypocrisy on Twitter.
Who knows? THIS is what an All American Paratrooper looks like. Rock Merritt jumped into Normandy on D Day, Njiemgen, fought in Bulge pic.twitter.com/vaps5fU0jb

Apparently, there's more to being a hero than purchasing a clearance rack hat on Amazon. Who knew?
