A Japanese parrot by the name of Karin isn't one to shy away from showing who's boss,Animation Archives in a series of videos uploaded by Twitter user @masaki_1133.

Perhaps feeling bad, Karin pulls open the box lid to let the kitten out -- who returns the favour with a swipe on the parrot's head.
But Karin has the last say to the rude cat, much to the amusement of its owner.

The pair's owner keeps a blog of their happenings, and while it might be an unlikely friendship, they seem to get along just fine.
They're kinda cute, actually.
