We all know Halloween009 Archivesa time to dress up like your favorite television character (even though you should probably stop) and buy a ton of discounted candy the next day.

But, while you wait for Oct. 31 to roll around, don't forget to take some time to watch a few Halloween-themed episodes that will make your October more about laughs and less about scares.

1. The Office: "Halloween"

The Officeis a show you have to watch at least once. Between the costumes and characters played by Steven Carell and Rainn Wilson, its the best show to start or end October with. It's streaming on Netflix.

2. Friends: "The One with the Halloween Party"

The '90s sitcom never had a dull moment. Monica and Chandler decided to throw a party which featured Ross dressed like Sputnik, Rachel giving away money instead of candy, and Phoebe falling for her sister's fiance. What can possibly go wrong? It's streaming on Netflix.

3. Parks and Recreation: "Greg Pikitis"

Although the episode centers around Leslie (Amy Poeler) and her arch-nemesis, scenes like this stole the show. This ensemble made the episode even funnier with this PSA for children on Halloween. It's streaming on Netflix and Hulu.

4. How I Met Your Mother: "Slutty Pumpkin"

Despite the finale (lets just forget it ever happened), episodes like the "Slutty Pumpkin" represents what HIMYM was all about: Ted (Josh Radnor) somehow meeting the weirdest girl and telling his children the most inappropriate story. It's streaming on Hulu.

5. Modern Family: "Halloween"

It makes sense for this 22 Emmy award-winning show to make the list. This was the show's first Halloween episode and its by far the funniest with the poor attempt at creating a haunted house. It's streaming on Hulu.

6. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: "Hex and the Single Guy"

The classic '90s sitcom had some of the most funniest (and heartbreaking) episodes in television history. So, it's no surprise this Halloween episode made the cut. Leave it to Will Smith to make jokes when it comes to meeting a medium. It's streaming no where (which is a travesty).

7. Community: "Epidemiology"

Just imagine The Walking Deadbeing a comedy. That's what Communityprovided in their second Halloween special. It also has a sexy Dracula Childish Gambino, so there's that. It's streaming on Hulu.

8. Black-ish: "Jacked o' Lantern"

How do you win best-dressed family on television? Dress like the Obamas down to the presidential pet. After their second Halloween special, the show continues to produce the funniest episodes. It's streaming now on Hulu.

9. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: "Who Got Dee Pregnant?"

It's hilarious when characters have to relay a story after a drunken night. This Halloween-themed episode centers around who got Dee (Kaitlin Olson) pregnant and it'll take a while to figure out who's actually telling the truth. It's streaming on Netflix and Hulu.

10. The Big Bang Theory: "The Middle Earth Paradigm"

The 46 Emmy-nominated show have been giving us laughs since 2007. This episode stems from their first season when Penny (Kaley Cuoco) decides to invite the guys to their first party and well, it's definitely what you expect it to be. It's streaming on Hulu.

11. Frasier: "Halloween"

The late '90s sitcom plays on the outcome miscommunication can bring to a Halloween costume party and its even better with a classic literature theme.

12. 30 Rock: "Stone Mountain"

While it's not Halloween heavy, this scene showed the comedic gold that was 30 Rock. It's streaming on Hulu.

13. Roseanne: "BOO!"

It's impossible to do a Halloween binge night without Roseanne. It's tough to pick one favorite episode when the '80s sitcom has six memorable ones. It's streaming no one (but hopefully soon when it comes back on television).

Bonus: Roseanne: "Trick or Treat"

There's some honorable mentions likeLouie, Freaks and Geeks and Curb Your Enthusiasm that will have you laughing for days.
